See now these pictures piss me off. He talks about deciding that hard work is what is going to make him successful and get him a job, when just before that he mentions the he will BE PAID to go to college (Thanks to the GI Bill) and will get a guaranteed position thanks to his experience in the military. Yes that does make him part of the 1% of the 99%. The rest of us don’t want free handouts. The rest of us just want a fair game. I know tons of people who also work very hard at shit jobs because they have to FUCKING PAY FOR THEIR OWN COLLEGE. Then when they graduate they are already deep in debt because they didn’t GET PAID to go, (no thanks to the GI Bill.) So those very hard working individuals start their adult lives already in debt, and because the only jobs you can get in college are shit retail or other minimum wage jobs they don’t have working experience relevant to their career path they are NOT GUARANTEED a position anywhere. So, motherfucker, the rest of us aren’t looking for handouts (um… like the GI Bill) we’re tired of the rest of society not holding up their end of the deal. The generation before us made a deal that if we all go to college we will all get awesome jobs and make livable wages and not have to worry about anything, then when we finish college all we get is debt and minimum wage jobs. Working hard doesn’t have a FUCKING thing to do with it.
